SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICER recruitment 2010

DURATION: The course is for short service commissioned officer (Executive Branch General Servie). The programme commences in July 2011. Candidates will undergo naval orientation at the Indian Naval Academy followed by professional training at various naval training establishments/units/ships. They will be on probation for two years.




ELIGIBILITY: Unmarried male candidates, 19 and a half to 25 years (born between July 2, 1986 and Jan 1, 1992 both dates inclusive). Any one of the following: science graduated with physics and math with min 60% or B.E./B.Tech with min 60% in aggregate in any discipline from an institution recognised by AICTE; science graduates holding NCC Naval Wing, Senior Division C certificate; graduate/PG in operations analysis and operations research/quantitative methods with min 75%; graduate/PG in math with probability or statistics with min 75%;

SELECTION: short-listed applicants will be called up for Services Selection Board based on their performance in the degree course. SSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage I test consists of intelligence test, picture perception and discussion test. Candidates who fail to qualify Stage I will be routed back the same day. Stage II tests comprising of psychological testing, group testing, and interview will last for four days.
