The president of India Dr. Sarvepali Radhkrishnan was voice-Chancellors in 1931. In this University so many new Course are provided like in Science, Arts, Management and Engineering in the country. The leader of the University always believed that excellence in higher education is the best investment for the country.
Andhra University Presently is offering 313 Course in Arts, Commerce, Science and technology, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and education etc, The University has five constituent colleges and four AU campuses. The Colleges of Arts and Commerce is bigger constitution college in the university. In this college 26 Department with offering 42 courses. And the college of Science and Technology has 21 departments which offers 63 Courses including one PG Diploma.
In Andhra University campus is having 23 hostels for men which can live more than 3200 students. And 10 women hostels with a capacity of 2000 seats. And here two hostels are specially constructed for foreign students. The University has also two Residential Health centers on is south campus and another is north campus. The University has Four Guest house , Central Canteen and four Canteens at various locations, women waiting halls, Faculty club and school for Employees children.
These facilities are provided by Andhra University. According to its facilities it is best or unique university in India.
