Vidyut Sahayak (JE)

BE Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Metallurgy/ Chemical from recognized University with minimum 60 % for Un Reserved and 55% forReserved candidates. Aggregate of 7th and 8th Semester,First Trial without ATKT (Passed in first attempt). Knowledge of Gujarati is essential. 35 yrs for reserved and 30 yrs for UR 100 (Electrical/ Mechanical - 85, Civil - 10, Metallurgy - 02, Chemical - 03)

Pay Scale : 1st year –Rs. 13000, 2nd year –Rs.14000

Note: The selected Vidyut Sahayak shall be appointed for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy or Chemical work for duration of two years and shall be considered for appointment to the post of Jr. Engineer in the pay scale of Rs.17300 - 38910 after successful completion of the period of two years as Vidyut Sahayak (Jr.Engineer) based on their performance. The Graduate Apprentices engaged under BOAT fulfilling the above criteria, can also apply and compete with the external candidates.

Candidates meeting with the above criteria may send their bio-data in the prescribed format alongwith (i) Two passport size photographs, (ii) Copy of SLC, (iii) Copy of mark sheet of 7th and 8th Semester (iv) Copy of Caste cerificate on or before 10th December 2010 to The Chief General Manager (HR&A), Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited, Vidyut Bhavan, Race Course, Baroda – 390 007.

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) was incorporated in August 1993 and is registered under the Companies Act, 1956 with the objectives to initiate a process of restructuring of Power Sector and to mobilize resources from the market for adding to the generating capacity of the State and improving the quality and cost of existing generation. The Company was promoted by erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) as it’s wholly owned subsidiary in the context of liberalization and as a part of efforts towards restructuring of the Power Sector.
