Kakatiya University is one of the famous universities in all over India.
It was established in August 19 1976. The university started only with four department Viz Telugu, English, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 1968.B.pharmacy course was started by OU in 1974 and shifted in KU in 1975.Now University is 28 years old now and it also celebrated their Silver Jubilee in 2001.
Now it has 321 colleges (171 Govt old college,66 new college ,48 B,ED college,14 pharmacy college ,3 law college,3 engineering colleges ,11 Universities PG colleges ,29 colleges offering MBA and 32 colleges offering MCA) .All colleges established in Northern Telegana districts
The Kakatiya University is now offering programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, MCA, MBA, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental course in University, Constituent and many distance education.
The University has won all India inter – University Gymnastic championship continuously for three years. It is a historical win by any Universities of South.
From this time at become famous in all over India.
The department of Universities and other offices of like placement cell, Kakatiya adhyayana, student’s welfare center, women’s study center and minority center, etc organized programs and seminar continue in local and national level.
