If the time is measured from the moment the top step begins to descend to the time he steps off the last step at the bottom, find out the height of the stair way in steps?

The National Eligibility Test or NET is the test conducted by the University Grants Commission, for testing the eligibility of candidates for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. The test is conducted in various subjects, including Humanities and languages. Psychology is one of the subjects in which the candidates take this test. There are two papers on the test. Paper II has all multiple choice type questions. There are 50 questions in the paper. The total marks of the paper are 100, with each question carrying 2 marks. The Oriental Bank of Commerce is a renowned bank in India. The bank holds the PO exam to recruit probationary officers. The selection process consists of two stages- a written test and a personal interview. The pattern of the written test is given below:

The written test has two papers- one objective paper and one descriptive paper. The marks obtained in the descriptive test are only for screening purpose and the final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the objective test and the personal interview.

The objective test is of a total of 200 marks and the time allotted for the test is 95 minutes. There are four sections in the paper. They are Reasoning ability, English, Aptitude, and Numerical ability. Candidates have to pass each of these sections individually.

The descriptive test consists of 5 compulsory questions. The questions are set to judge the language skills, and socio economic qualities of the candidates. Candidates who successfully clear the two written tests are called for the interview.

Syllabus: SSC Central Police of Organisations (CPO) Sub-Inspector (SI) Exam

Pattern and Scheme of Examination:

SSC Central Police of Organisations (CPO) Sub-Inspector (SI) Exam consist of two parts:

A) Part I Written Test (500 marks)

B) Part II Personality Test & Interview (100 marks)

Pattern for SSC CPO SI Written examination:

The written test consists of two Papers:

A. Paper I GENERAL STUDIES (Objective Type Multiple Choice)

The Paper I carries 400 Marks and consists of 200 Questions to be attempted in 2 Hours divided in following sections.

a) General Intelligence and Reasoning 50

b) General Awareness 75

c) Numerical Ability 75

B. Paper II GENERAL ENGLISH (Conventional Type)

The Paper I carries 100 Marks and needs to be attempted in 1 Hour divided in following sections.

a) Language Comprehension

b) Communication/Writing skill

Paper-II is evaluated for only those candidates who qualify in Paper- I (Objective type paper).

After clearing Written Test Candidates need to clear Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test (PET).

The last step is Personality Test/Interview.

Syllabus for SSC CPO SI Written examination:

Paper I: General Studies

a. General Intelligence and Reasoning:

It would include questions of both verbal and non verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences, space visualization problem solving analysis judgment, decision making visual memory discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning verbal and figure classification arithmetical number series non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidates' ability to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.

b. General Awareness:

Questions will be aimed to test the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, economic scene, General polity and scientific research.

c. Numerical Ability: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationship between numbers, decimals and fractions, and relationships between numbers, It will test sense of order of magnitude, estimation or prediction for the solution to real life problems and knowledge of alternative computation procedure to find answers.

Paper- II GENERAL ENGLISH

The candidates will be mainly tested in the following areas:

1) Simple and plain use of English Language and clarity of expression.

2) Effective Communication skill in English with due economy of words.

Questions will be designed to test the candidate's understanding and working knowledge of English language, their comprehension and their ability at communication skill. There will also be questions on précis writing, letter writing, paragraph or report writing etc.

PERSONALITY TEST/INTERVIEW: 100 Marks

The interview/personality test is structured in such a manner that the candidates' interests, knowledge, various traits, aptitude, suitability etc. are probed among other things, through academic qualifications, experience, extra-curricular activities, general awareness/knowledge, depth of knowledge of the subjects studied (10+2 onwards), communicative skills and over-all personality etc.

Candidates should note that Central Police Organisations, covered in this Examination, are:

A. Border Security Force (BSF);

B. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF);

C. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF);

D. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP);

E. Special Services Bureau (SSB)
