The Netherlands could win the World Cup: Morten Olsen

Denmark coach Morten Olsen on Thursday said World Cup opponents the Netherlands have a “realistic” chance of winning the title in South Africa.

“They say that they want to be world champions, and there is a realistic chance that they will (succeed),” Olsen told TV2 sports.

“It is a team of high class. And they especially have a lot of individually skilful players,” the former Ajax Amsterdam coach added.

Olsen said there were many players to keep an eye on in the Dutch squad even though Arsenal’s Robin van Persie scored two goals in Wednesday’s 2-1 friendly victory against Mexico.

Denmark opens its World Cup campaign against the Dutch on June 14.
